Family Days Out in Cornwall

Thankfully, in the weeks prior to these April downpours, we’ve seen some sterling spring weather here in Cornwall. So me and my little family have been busy getting out and about to our favourite beaches, gardens and outdoor attractions. We’ve even been to our first festival of the season.

For me, the months of April through to June are the most magical times to explore the wonders of Cornwall. Bluebells carpet the woods, yellow gorse flowers line the coast paths and the ocean is thawing and once again teeming with marine life. We’ve been out on boards, bikes and on foot, with fishing nets, kites and picnic blankets.

So while we continue to make the most of where we live, here’s a guide to some of the best family days out I compiled for The Guardian online:

10 Days Out in North Cornwall

10 Days Out in South Cornwall

Of course, I’d love to hear about those I’ve missed which would have made your top ten.

The feature is part of a Holiday Guide to Cornwall which includes all sorts of gems from where to stay to where to eat on a budget, so check it out.
